From ancient knowledge systems and scientific discoveries to philosophy, arts, and cultural resilience, trials and tribulations, path to freedom, progress into global powerhouse, the Center aims to create an interactive experience that informs, inspires, and connects generations — especially youth and multiethnic communities — with an authentic understanding of India’s continuing civilizational journey, a land of spiritual bliss and philosophical grandeur.
Through exhibits, educational programming, digital archives, and public dialogue, the India Heritage Center will serve as a bridge between history and contemporary identity.
The aim of the museum is three-fold. First is to educate current and future generations of Indian diaspora with authentic facts about India’s rich heritage to carry the legacy. Second is to sensitize the global multiethnic community, academia, media, opinion makers. And third is to dispel ignorance and distorted information, to present the multiple dimensions of the glorious past, and trigger the curiosity of the visitor to witness India’s future journey.
And what better place to do so than in the United States …. in vibrant Washington DC and in stimulating Atlanta with possible replication in other locations including in India to reach out to wider audiences.
A dedicated team of historians, Indologists, museum curators, and visualizers are well on their way to creating in the US the first ever state-of-the-art technologically equipped interactive marvel- a brick-and-mortar museum heralding India’s authentic and rich civilizational history- the India Heritage Center
No other country can claim of possessing as rich a civilizational heritage as India.
